Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this website, or by instructing Vento to provide financial planning, tax and SARS compliance, or CFO advisory services, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or engage our services.
Nature of our services
Vento provides SME financial planning, SARS tax compliance support, and CFO advisory services to businesses operating in South Africa. All services are provided on the basis of a separate written engagement letter or proposal agreed with the client, which sets out the specific scope, fees, deliverables and timelines for that engagement. These general terms apply in addition to, and do not override, the specific terms of any signed engagement letter.
Information published on this website is general in nature and is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute individual financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a formal consultation with our advisors.
Acceptable use of this website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Client responsibilities
Where you engage Vento for consulting services, you agree to provide accurate, complete and timely information reasonably required for us to perform the engagement, including financial records, tax documentation and access to relevant systems or personnel. You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information you supply to us, and for decisions taken by your business based on our advice, which are always subject to your own commercial judgement.
Fees and payment
Fees for consulting engagements are agreed in writing prior to commencement of work and set out in the relevant engagement letter or proposal. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date. Late payment may result in suspension of ongoing services and interest may be charged at the maximum rate permitted under the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act, 55 of 1975. All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise, and VAT will be added at the applicable statutory rate.
Limitation of liability
While we take reasonable care in preparing content on this website and in delivering our advisory services, Vento makes no warranty that website content is complete, current or error-free at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Vento Financial Consulting (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this website or reliance on general information published on it. Our liability in respect of any specific paid engagement is governed exclusively by the limitation of liability clauses contained in the relevant signed engagement letter, and nothing in these terms is intended to exclude any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

Suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to this website at any time, without notice, for maintenance, security or other operational reasons. Either party may terminate an active consulting engagement in accordance with the notice period set out in the applicable engagement letter.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law or operating practice. The current version will always be published on this page, together with the effective date below. Continued use of this website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts, without prejudice to any right of a consumer to approach the National Consumer Commission or other applicable regulatory body under the Consumer Protection Act.
